Another Friday and hopefully a  thrilling one for some FOCUS FORCE Kids With Cameras. The day is beautiful with a warm winter sun beckoning the KWC to go look for some potential SUPER SHOTS, especially with the chance of adding REWARD POINTS to their tally. Don’t waste the opportunity today and over the weekend.

This beautiful image by Nadia K is well worth a second look, and a good choice for this weeks FRIDAY FAV FOTO. The flower takes the emphasis and a softly  blurred background doesn’t detract from it.    An additional 500 REWARD POINTS has been added to her tally. It is well worth the prompt to add a glow to Nadia’s day with a  POST OPRAISE.

A tried but true saying that bounce back home earlier this week in the city of Melbourne. Strolling along Elizabeth Street, stopped to look in the window of one of the BOOK GROCER outlets. Gazing beyond and into the store, the eye was attracted to a collection of mounted photographic images of flowers. When asking about them and whether they were available as greeting cards; came the answer to this beautiful collection. The manager of the store had found them in a rubbish bin ( didn’t go into the research reasons) but he like me obviously; was entranced by them.  So much so that he saved them from destruction and gave them the glory they well and truly deserved.  If the city stop by and admire them, and wonder about the further mystery of their existence.

Saturday, June  17 presentation of the framed DOMAYNE FOTO Of The Month has unfortunately had to be cancelled. This is unfortunate, and regrettable as is with all such events for above everything else it is a recognition of the FOCUS FORCE Kids With Cameras success. However, it is hoped that FF KWC Program Director Phillip JW will have the pleasure of passing on the prize to the April winner in a small private gathering at Domayne.

HOW TO SEND A POST Of PRAISE for the SUPER SHOT submission you like most. Go to bottom here, and click on “leave a comment”  nominating the FF Kids With Cameras name in the post. Then add a few words of praise to encourage them. When that’s completed click on “post” in the bottom right corner. It’s easy.

About focusfor

The FOCUS FORCE photographic workshop program for Kids With Cameras is based in Melbourne, Australia. The projects have gone beyond the Victorian borders, into New South Wales, and Tasmania.Through others including a backpacker it has been provided to children in Thailand, and a teacher in Portugal has inspired children there as well. Apart, from the fun of learning about the camera and developing the skill of taking better photos; the best of which are raised to the status of SUPER SHOTS,the works have been mounted as collections under the banner of the FOCUS FORCE FRIENDSHIP EXHIBITIONS, and sent as gifts of friendship and goodwill to the United States, Italy, Japan, China - others are still being worked on. The program enrciches the children's knowledge, and as a side benefit makes them more aware of their own surroundings, and all that is to value where they live. Then comes the delight of being achievers, and having their self esteem boosted by their successes. The term "kids with cameras" was first used by the program's forerunner; CLICKER - the "club for kids with cameras", and dates back to the mid 1980's. The name change came about as wanting to be more appropriate to the older student group that the program now works with.
