HAPPY NEW YEAR.

to all the FOCUS FORCE Kids With Cameras, and to all parents and friends who have supported them throughout 2016.

The final image above for the year was taken by Victoria B at this years Royal Melbourne Show. And there, like will be happening all over the world on New Years Eve, fireworks will be lighting up the sky to the amazement of billions of people. No matter where the FF KWC are, it would be fantastic to some of these submitted for the first FRIDAY FAV FOTOS.

IT HAS BEEN AN ENORMOUS & EXHILIRATING YEAR THROUGHOUT WITH SO MANY PROJECTS & ASSIGNMENTS.

dscn2124  Every year it is the same, but some stand out more so than others. This has been one of them, and so much talented work has come through and been published. Projects from the first with the FLASH OF FRIENDSHIP For The QUEEN VICTORIA to the MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL FLOWER & GARDEN SHOW have all been outstanding. Then the fabulous fashion catchers at the KIDz FASHION FESTIVAL. The CAMERA CHALLENGES returned images that took the breath away. … and the dedication to the task was also commendable. The work that went into providing the CHRISTMAS IMAGES was another pleasing achievement, and now makes look forward to 2107. And so many others, with a selection of the best immortalized on the FOCUS FORCE SUPER SHOT SHOWCASE CALENDAR. This is only a part of what can be said, the rest goes without saying.

FOCUS FORCE OWES A DEBT OF GRATITUDE TO BOUNTY BOXES DIRECTOR SUSAN WILLIS.

img_1061     Sue put her money where heart was after seeing the KIDzPIKz at the ROCKLEY FLOWER FOTO EXHIBITION. First, buying a collection to be included in her hampers, she then agreed to completing the order with a special CHRISTMAS CARD image for her company. She is to be thanked from the bottom of the KWC hearts on her generosity in supporting and helping to inspire and recognize their talents.

 REWARD POINT TOTALS TO BE ANNOUNCED ON JAN 20.

Due to the computer melt down half way through the year, the numbers and files were thrown into disarray. I know that is disappointing and frustrating with the KWC working so hard, and striving to make their numbers climb. And they have continued to do just that! But parents will understand that it is better to know they are right, rather than at a later date having to make corrections that break hearts.

BUT JUST A TEASER TO KEEP THE REWARD POINTS CLIMBING FOR THE POPs. Here’s the December additions;

Stacey F.100.  400  Misha R 200 1200 Victoria B300 2900 Nadia K. 200 500. The number in red represents the total for the period.

These are just the numbers for September to December, and the final tally for the year is to be calculated. So, hang in there!

About focusfor

The FOCUS FORCE photographic workshop program for Kids With Cameras is based in Melbourne, Australia. The projects have gone beyond the Victorian borders, into New South Wales, and Tasmania.Through others including a backpacker it has been provided to children in Thailand, and a teacher in Portugal has inspired children there as well. Apart, from the fun of learning about the camera and developing the skill of taking better photos; the best of which are raised to the status of SUPER SHOTS,the works have been mounted as collections under the banner of the FOCUS FORCE FRIENDSHIP EXHIBITIONS, and sent as gifts of friendship and goodwill to the United States, Italy, Japan, China - others are still being worked on. The program enrciches the children's knowledge, and as a side benefit makes them more aware of their own surroundings,and all that is to value where they live. Then comes the delight of being achievers, and having their self esteem boosted by their successes.The term "kids with cameras" was first used by the program's forerunner; CLICKER - the "club for kids with cameras", and dates back to the mid 1980's. The name change came about as wanting to be more appropriate to the older student group that the program now works with.
