NADIA GETS AS BUSY AS A BEE AMONGST THE FLOWERS.

Standard

ff16-christm-ctwn4  Well, school is done is dusted for ’16. The books are packed up, and the tables stacked in the corner. All that is left in the stack is the fun time during the holidays. And, we have  few things to clean up before the new year; not least the assignments that include a couple left like these images by Nadia K for her PRECIOUS PETALS. Like all the Kids With Cameras this year she has found amazing improvement in work as the year progressed. And, we look forward to more in 2017. So give her a gift of a POST Of PRAISE.

vista

FF16-PPNK1 A well composed shot with the city of Perth framed through the petals and leaves of the Australian natives. A well balanced image with horizontal horizons created by the mountain ranges. A pic that well deserves a POST Of PRAISE.

petes-light

FF16-PPNK2. The darkened background sets off the image of the rose superbly highlighting the colourful beauty of the rose. Adding to it is the placement of the flower in the photograph giving it a finishing touch. Give it your finishing touch with a POST Of PRAISE.

petals-teardrops

FF16-PPNK3 How often do we see the image of a rose covered in teardrops of rain. And, each one has its own special appeal with this one securing it’s own element of originality. The CHOICEMAKERS of this years ROCKLEY AWARDS are going have their work cut out. Feel it deserves a POST Of PRAISE?

facing-the-sky

FF16-PPNK4. Blossoms fill the Springtime sky, and add their own touch of serene appeal to this shot found by Nadia. You have to admit that she is extending the scope of her folio. This would have been better if the flowers were more in focus, or perhaps you think not! Let us know with a POST Of PRAISE.

cate-1

FF16-PPNK5 Absolute brilliance in this image with it’s magnificent lighting effect. The flowers are absolutely overpowering , and the bee hovering over the petals in search of it pollen. A shot of absolute delight that should earn heaps of POST Of PRAISE.

cate-3

FF16-PPNK6 The rose that we saw earlier, this is a little further away, and giving us a more wider view of the flower. Once again, slightly out of focus, and we leave to you to decide whether it works or not. If it does; don’t go past without a POST Of PRAISE.

close-personal

FF16-PPNK7. The pink petals look like lips pursed ready to kiss the camera lens. The softness of the image takes your breath away, and the fine features of the flower captivates the eyes with softness capturing the detail of the veins of it. So captivating, you cant not make a POST Of PRAISE  for this.

petals-visitors

FF16-PPNK8. A photo that would have Nadia just as busy as a bee too, searching for the elusive SUPER SHOTS amongst the flowers with a bonus of an insect to add interest to what she found. We ask you too, to be as busy while you look over these and make a choice or two for a POST Of PRAISE.

Next Wednesday FOCUS FORCE will publish the last in the PRECIOUS PETALS assignments, and you will be delighted with them as well. Look for it.

About focusfor

The FOCUS FORCE photographic workshop program for Kids With Cameras is based in Melbourne, Australia. The projects have gone beyond the Victorian borders, into New South Wales, and Tasmania.Through others including a backpacker it has been provided to children in Thailand, and a teacher in Portugal has inspired children there as well. Apart, from the fun of learning about the camera and developing the skill of taking better photos; the best of which are raised to the status of SUPER SHOTS,the works have been mounted as collections under the banner of the FOCUS FORCE FRIENDSHIP EXHIBITIONS, and sent as gifts of friendship and goodwill to the United States, Italy, Japan, China - others are still being worked on. The program enrciches the children's knowledge, and as a side benefit makes them more aware of their own surroundings, and all that is to value where they live. Then comes the delight of being achievers, and having their self esteem boosted by their successes. The term "kids with cameras" was first used by the program's forerunner; CLICKER - the "club for kids with cameras", and dates back to the mid 1980's. The name change came about as wanting to be more appropriate to the older student group that the program now works with.
