OCTOBER TOO, can be another challenging month for Kids With Cameras. There will be many foto ops to take place including the annual CHILDREN’S WEEK which kicks off this year with a grand day at WERRIBEE PARK mansions. More info about this soon. On Sunday its world animal day, and opportunity for the KWC to focus on the creatures of the wild with a trip to the zoo.

World Animal Day

Each year 4 October is World Animal Day!   These 24 hours are the chance to give back and celebrate animal life in all its shapes and sizes, from mice to elephants, and recognise the positive influence they have on our lives.

If you get the chance head to the zoo, or perhaps Healesville Sanctuary or then Werribee Park.  REWARD POINTS will be allocated as; Submission; 100, Number of subs 100 each, SUPER SHOT Acceptances; 100 each. Maximum 15 subs.


DSCN0770  A NEW RECOGNITION for FOCUS FORCE Kids With Cameras was bestowed on the Rockley Award winners from this year when the two images that shared the title were presented to IMG’s Event Manager, Kat Rushford. The framed enlargements of Alysha McDonald and Matthew Borys were handed as a gift in gratitude to hang on the walls of their offices. The works will be replaced after the 2016 ROCKLEY AWARDS with them being exchanged for the new recipient of the OVERALL BEST. Pic shows Kat and Alysha with her award winning image, who made the trip from Bendigo with her Mum. Following the presentation the pair ventured onto Ripponlea to find images of the historic home and gardens.

and the submissions for the MY FAVOURITE TOYS are in with collections from Lauren Puli and Misha Ravipati delivered to FOCUS FORCE. You will see the two collections in October in their own separate REVIEWS. Both have put a lot of work into their works, and you will be delighted how they have seen their favourite playthings.  FF will be eager to see your choices in a POP PIKz POLL on the site. Look forward to it.


That’s a phrase that grandpa and and grandma will understand. But in your case, it’s the end of the September or as the Americans call it; the Spring break. No matter what it is, FOCUS FORCE hopes that it has been an enjoyable time for you and your family. WE know that there have been some travelling across the country, and in their case look forward to seeing some inspiring images. For the coming months, and a last term of the 2015, FF wishes you good luck in the many things you want to achieve and participate. For many there will be school plays and presentations – enjoy the experience.

The FOCUS FORCE photographic workshop program for Kids With Cameras is based in Melbourne, Australia. The projects have gone beyond the Victorian borders, into New South Wales, and Tasmania.Through others including a backpacker it has been provided to children in Thailand, and a teacher in Portugal has inspired children there as well. Apart, from the fun of learning about the camera and developing the skill of taking better photos; the best of which are raised to the status of SUPER SHOTS,the works have been mounted as collections under the banner of the FOCUS FORCE FRIENDSHIP EXHIBITIONS, and sent as gifts of friendship and goodwill to the United States, Italy, Japan, China - others are still being worked on. The program enrciches the children's knowledge, and as a side benefit makes them more aware of their own surroundings,and all that is to value where they live. Then comes the delight of being achievers, and having their self esteem boosted by their successes.The term "kids with cameras" was first used by the program's forerunner; CLICKER - the "club for kids with cameras", and dates back to the mid 1980's. The name change came about as wanting to be more appropriate to the older student group that the program now works with.
