ANOTHER WEEK HAS FLOWN BY, AND ONCE AGAIN MORE IDEAS TO ENCOURAGE THE FOCUS FORCE Kids With Cameras are high on the agenda. So, take a moment to look at what’s on the horizon in the coming months.
THIS WEEKS FOTO OF THE WEEK IS A VIEW BY MISHA – EARNING HER 100 REWARD POINTS.
On a trip to Mount Dandenong earlier this year this Melbourne vista caught Misha’s eye. The dull look of the eastern suburbs stretching to the city skyline is highlighted by flecks of light coming from the clouds. Now she can hopefully expand that number to 500 if chosen as the best for the month.
AN APOLOGY FROM FOCUS FORCE.
Several submissions were made for the ROCKLEY FLOWER FOTO 16 that did not have a flower in the image. This was an oversight in not publishing this requirement in ALL entry conditions. It was decided to be fair to all, and to remain true to the concept of the ROCKLEY AWARD that these entries would be removed. However, they if are of SUPER SHOT standard, they will still assessed for that recognition, and the young photographers gain the recognition. FF hopes that any KWC affected by the decision will not be too disappointed.
SUNDAY NOT TOO FAR AWAY AND THE NEXT SELECTION FOR THE ROCKLEY REVIEW.
Misha’s time is running out for you to help increase her REWARD POINTS tally for the collection taken at the garden show, and on Sunday a new collection goes up to gather RP’s for another of the ROCKLEY REVIEWS for the potential FOCUS FORCE ROCKLEY FLOWER FOTO EXHIBITION in 2016. Wait with excitement for the new release.
BOTTLE OF WINE WITH FOCUS FORCE CATEGORY LABEL DELIVERED TO QUEENSLAND.
A bottle of the delightful FOCUS FORCE ROCKLEY wine was delivered to the franchisee of HARVEY NORMAN in Burleigh Waters this week. Con Georgiades, who until early this year was at QV in Melbourne was a enthusiastic supporter of the FOCUS FORCE Kids With Cameras providing enormous help including this years MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL FLOWER & GARDEN SHOW donating enlargements for the ROCKLEY FLOWER FOTO EXHIBITION. He was given the bottle with the label displaying the VIEWPOINT winner chosen by photo center manager Daniel Willmott.
REWARD POINTS ALL ABOUT REWARDS.
Current tallies are being recorded for ultimate recognitions in in 2015/16. This includes the JAS RECOGNITION for the coming year. From July 1st, there will be a series of certificates for those achieving specific totals. Those achieving the HIGHEST NUMBER in each month will be eligible for a wonderful prize like those currently in the running for the DOUBLE MOVIE VOUCHER. The more you participate and submit photos the more your score will grow. So, it’s up to you.
TRULY EXOTIC – FLOWERS OF FLAMBOYANCE.
FOCUS FORCE is currently in Queensland taking time out to study the local scene. Apart of the task up here is to establish a project that will be a feature for the ROCKLEY FLOWER FOTO EXHIBITION at the ’16 MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL FLOWER & GARDEN SHOW. The project will focus on the flowers of the north with emphasis being on their brilliance. Down south, you too will be able to capture images growing in hot houses and conservatoriums. This will officially commence on September one when Spring breaks loose in the gardens and natural environment. Get Ready!
THE PROJECT WILL FOCUS ON FLOWER FESTIVALS in the north like TOOWOOMBA’S CARNIVAL OF FLOWERS where local Kids With Cameras will be encouraged to register with FOCUS FORCE to be part of the project.
PROJECTS BEING PLANNED FOR THE GRAMPIANS & CRANBOURNE’S NATIVE GARDENS.
Lets see what the Kids With Cameras can find at these two locations, and possibly also at Geelong’s Botanic Gardens. All these locations have an abundance of native plants that are of course, in the main indigenous to Australia. Special projects days with workshops and fun foto tours are being considered for these. So EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST will soon be called for to take part and fill the limited positions.
HOLIDAY PROJECTS IN MELBOURNE IN JULY.
A holiday workshop is being planned for the Kids With Cameras in Melbourne during the coming winter school break. It is considered that the Fitzroy Gardens will be one location with a focus on the historic CAPTAIN COOK’S COTTAGE and it’s environs. This will also include the new information centre with a hopefully a special guest to pose for the KWC.
