About focusfor

The FOCUS FORCE photographic workshop program for Kids With Cameras is based in Melbourne, Australia. The projects have gone beyond the Victorian borders, into New South Wales, and Tasmania.Through others including a backpacker it has been provided to children in Thailand, and a teacher in Portugal has inspired children there as well. Apart, from the fun of learning about the camera and developing the skill of taking better photos; the best of which are raised to the status of SUPER SHOTS,the works have been mounted as collections under the banner of the FOCUS FORCE FRIENDSHIP EXHIBITIONS, and sent as gifts of friendship and goodwill to the United States, Italy, Japan, China - others are still being worked on. The program enrciches the children's knowledge, and as a side benefit makes them more aware of their own surroundings, and all that is to value where they live. Then comes the delight of being achievers, and having their self esteem boosted by their successes. The term "kids with cameras" was first used by the program's forerunner; CLICKER - the "club for kids with cameras", and dates back to the mid 1980's. The name change came about as wanting to be more appropriate to the older student group that the program now works with.

  1. Some great photos Lauren but my favourites would have to be RCK16-SUBLP4 of the rose and RCK16SUBLP8 in the pink, which I think is a very different view of the flowers. Good luck! Love Mum.

  2. Hi Lauren, each set of photos that is published gets better and better, and that makes it harder and harder to choose…but my choices are RCK16-SUBLP4 the close up of the rose and RCK16-SUBLP1 the beautiful sunlit green hedge. Another wonderful job done! Danielle xx

  3. Awesome photos Lauren!! My favourite is sublp9 because I love all the different blues but together. Keep it up!

  4. Congrats for sharing your talent with us once again Lauren!!! I really liked the contrast between the business of sublp2 and the tranquil sublp8….All the best for a fun 2015 with your camera…

  5. Lauren I like RCK16-SUBLP4 and RCK16-SUBLP1. Keep up the good work and just do what you want to do. Keep up the great work. Love Dad.

  6. Hi Lauren, you have taken some lovely photos! I do quite like the close up of the Rose (RCK16-SUBLP4) and i love the way you captured the lovely colors in RCK16-SUBLP2. Love Lucy

  7. Hi Lauren, you are making it hard for me to pick because i like them all, but here are my picks RCK16-SUBLP4 and RCK16-SUBLP9. Love Grandpa.

  8. Hey Lauren!! All the shots are great! Good work. But I especially love RCK16-SUBLP2 for the excellent colour composition, and RCK16-SUBLP9 for the clever shot composition. Great work Lauren! Keep it up! Big hugs. Mark

  9. Lauren, I really love photos RCK16-SUBLP4 and RCK16-SUBLP8. I like how shot RCK16-SUBLP4 gets up close and personal with the rose, capturing its delicate beauty. There is a dreamy and soft element to this photo and I can almost smell the rose’s delicious scent. Photo RCK16-SUBLP8 is my favourite, I love the detail captured in this photograph, especially that on the petals. Each petal has its own unique pattern, much like our own fingerprints. Gazing at the soft lighting filtering through the petals, I am then drawn to the uniqueness of each flowers’ centre and there I stop to admire the vibrant pink and yellow. My gaze then shifts to the flower stems gently floating in the water and I immediately feel a calmness. This photo makes me happy. Well done Lauren.

  10. Lauren, your photos are all just so wonderful. You keep on picking up on the beauty of flowers from a different perspective than most view them and I think every photo has a special effect. But if I have to choose two they would be RCK16-SUBLP2 and RCK16-SUBLP8 …….as I just love the combination of colours and angles. Well done and keep on keeping on !

  11. Lauren I still love seeing what you see, it is hard to believe you are only 8 years old. All the shots are so different, the one I really like is RCK16- SUBLP2 I just love all the colours full of life, it makes me really happy, I would have that framed any time on my wall. I love the yellow rose so soft and tender. What else can I say, keep doing what you love. From Nan x
