The first week of MAY, and an exciting time with many new ideas being planned, and others being suggested. Loads of CAMERA CHALLENGES for Kids With Cameras that will not only be fun, but a learning curve that will expand their knowledge. Events will be planned and foto fun excursions. In the meantime, happy to hear your thoughts and ideas too. So, on this FRIDAY ON YOUR MIND – lets expand yours.

FRTREAT-MP15- BRONZ SCULPT

THE FIRST FRIDAY CHOICE  in the weekly selections to be published each week. Taken by Madeleine at the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show missed the ROCKLEY selections for 2016, but earns this place. The sculpture, although caught at an angle has appeal. The stark colouring blends into it’s muted background. A good start, earning Maddie the first 100 REWARD POINTS. She is also in the running for a BENDIGO BANK PEN if she gains the 500 REWARD POINTS at the end of the month.

SUNDAY WILL SEE THE FIRST OF THE ROCKLEY REVIEWS FOR THE 2016 FLOWER FOTO EXHIBITION.

rockley-garden-circa 1962 It’s what we have been talking about for the last few weeks since the end of this years Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show, and mini Lauren kicks off the collection with her CHOICES to be submitted for the awards at next years show. We’re sure you’re going to enjoy the walk through the flower foto garden, and of course, look forward to reading your POSTS Of PRAISE, earning the KWC more REWARD POINTS as they accumulate them throughout the year.

REWARD POINTS WILL SEE THE GREATEST RECOGNITION EVER FOR THIS YEARS ACHIEVERS.

reward cards There are plans for them to put a smile on the Kids With Cameras faces at the end of months throughout the year, with BIG SURPRIZES for the top tallies at the end of the year. They will also figure in the end result for the JAS RECOGNITION in 2015 to be announced in January.

 

SOMEONES OFF TO THE MOVIES AT THE END OF THE MONTH.

The HIGHEST SCORE OF REWARD POINTS for May will win for themselves a MOVIE GIFT VOUCHER to the value of $30, shouting them and a friend to a blockbuster holiday movie during the July school holidays. So put the pedal down and yourself into action chasing the numbers to increase your score for the month.

NEXT WEEK THERE WILL BE ANOTHER NEW CONCEPT PROJECT BEING ANNOUNCED and that will be a foto fun test for you to get involved. Each week there will be more with a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT to happen on the first FOYM in June.

The FOCUS FORCE photographic workshop program for Kids With Cameras is based in Melbourne, Australia. The projects have gone beyond the Victorian borders, into New South Wales, and Tasmania.Through others including a backpacker it has been provided to children in Thailand, and a teacher in Portugal has inspired children there as well. Apart, from the fun of learning about the camera and developing the skill of taking better photos; the best of which are raised to the status of SUPER SHOTS,the works have been mounted as collections under the banner of the FOCUS FORCE FRIENDSHIP EXHIBITIONS, and sent as gifts of friendship and goodwill to the United States, Italy, Japan, China - others are still being worked on. The program enrciches the children's knowledge, and as a side benefit makes them more aware of their own surroundings,and all that is to value where they live. Then comes the delight of being achievers, and having their self esteem boosted by their successes.The term "kids with cameras" was first used by the program's forerunner; CLICKER - the "club for kids with cameras", and dates back to the mid 1980's. The name change came about as wanting to be more appropriate to the older student group that the program now works with.
