About focusfor

The FOCUS FORCE photographic workshop program for Kids With Cameras is based in Melbourne, Australia. The projects have gone beyond the Victorian borders, into New South Wales, and Tasmania.Through others including a backpacker it has been provided to children in Thailand, and a teacher in Portugal has inspired children there as well. Apart, from the fun of learning about the camera and developing the skill of taking better photos; the best of which are raised to the status of SUPER SHOTS,the works have been mounted as collections under the banner of the FOCUS FORCE FRIENDSHIP EXHIBITIONS, and sent as gifts of friendship and goodwill to the United States, Italy, Japan, China - others are still being worked on. The program enrciches the children's knowledge, and as a side benefit makes them more aware of their own surroundings, and all that is to value where they live. Then comes the delight of being achievers, and having their self esteem boosted by their successes. The term "kids with cameras" was first used by the program's forerunner; CLICKER - the "club for kids with cameras", and dates back to the mid 1980's. The name change came about as wanting to be more appropriate to the older student group that the program now works with.

  1. Madeleine and Lauren – everytime I see these photos it takes me back to the days you took them and I remember how much fun we had. My two favourites are FFRPPz15 – LP52 which I think would make a lovely Mother’s Day greeting card and FFRPPz15 – MP13 because I love the way the sun is shining over the top of the flower on what was a perfect Spring day. Good luck in the POP Pikz poll! Mum xx

    • Lauren it was hard to choose from your photos – but I kept going to No. Lp15 loved the colour and shades. If I saw this on a Mother’s Day card, I would buy it for my mum. Well done Lauren love Nan xx

  2. LP8 and MP10 get my vote! Love the colours in both and the detail of the petals in both. Job well done again girls! Love Danielle xx

  3. My favourites would have to be LP51 and MP13. Both are beautiful photos that would look great on a greeting card. Well done Madeleine and Lauren and good luck! Love Laurie

  4. My top 2 choices are FFRPPz15-LP15 and FFRPPZ15-MP13. Both photos are full of life and energy and in my opinion, very symbolic of Motherhood. In LP15, I am firstly drawn in by the beautiful, lush green of the leaf. Then my eyes re-focus and take in the delicate veins running through the leaf adding depth and bringing it life. Photo MP13, is bursting with life with a full blooming rose in the centre and six little buds wishing to bloom too. I love the burst of sunlight from Mother Earth caressing the delicate petals of the rose, so it will continue to grow and have offspring.

  5. My favorite pictures are FFRPPz15-6 and FFRPPz15-MR25. FFRPPz15-6 is a beautiful capture of roses in a simple street background. FFRPPz15-MR25 captures the beautiful panoramic view of the tulips.

  6. No.1 Choice FFRPPz15- 23
    No.2 Choice FFRPPz15- MR3
Love these photos. They would be just perfect for a Mothers Days card as the colours are bright and vivid. I love the angle you have taken them so the flower is not exactly in the middle of the frame. Very well done.

  7. One of my favourites is FFRPPz15- MP10 and a photo that I would title ‘The enchanted Hollow’ It looks amazing ! People could easily miss the prey mantis and think it was a teeny tiny fairy in it’s home. Just awesome! Well done !

  8. Lauren I love you photo FFRPPz15-LP52 and I have a tendency to see life creatures in the beauty of the flowers you have captured. These flowers look like beautiful long legged birds with the delicate petals that have lovely streaks of colour through them, resembling the neck feathers and wings. Absolutely beautiful, well done and keep that camera snapping !

  9. My second choice Lauren is photo xxFFRPPz15-LP51 capturing a sea of bright tulips. The angle that you have taken this photo actually shows that not all tulips are the same. Definitely a favourite for me….keep up the good work!

  10. Madeleine photo FFRPPz15-MP13 is my second choice. This photo proves that not all cacti are just green and prickly! The succulent appearance and the fine spiney needs that you have captured throws a new light on this neglected species. Well done, and keep that keen eye on more unusual pics.

  11. My favourite MADELEINE is MP10 – the pink rose – it looks so soft, and delicate. It is like a mother rose, and the little bud. This would look great as a Mother’s Day card, and I would definitely buy this for Mother’s Day as well. Great shot Madeleine – love Nan. Xx
