MORE CITY OF CONTRASTS SIDEWALK SERENDIPITY.

A footpath, or street in America is often called a sidewalk. The gutter as we know it is the kerb,  and this is where this incredible chance encounter took place during the CITY of CONTRASTS foto project on the streets of Melbourne on a biting winter’s day.

The Lord Mayor’s car sped off in a cloud of dust rushing to Councilor Robert Doyle’s next appointment, a little later due to his time spent with the FOCUS FORCE Kids With Cameras.  Leaving the group behind, one of the Mums was asked by a lady passing by’ “Who was that man?”. Noting an accent, obviously American, she was told who he was, and then asked what part of the states she was from.

COCMB(B) B1 Proudly she explained she hailed from Boston, USA and was just visiting the city and town hall before leaving Melbourne the next day.

FOCUS FORCE KWC Project Coordinator said what a coincidence this was with the project outcome being a collection of SUPER SHOTS to be delivered to New York. More surprising and coincidental was that the first ever FOCUS FORCE FRIENDSHIP EXHIBITION left the Melbourne Town Hall many years ago destined for Boston. MORE SERENDIPITY.
