A COOL NIGHT IN PORTLAND BY THE SEA WAS WARMED UP AS THE CHOICE’S WERE ANNOUNCED AT THE HOST SCHOOL – PORTLAND PRIMARY. A NIGHT FULL OF ENJOYMENT AND EXCITMENT.
An expectant crowd of 60 people attended the SAILABRATION night at the school with the most enthused, the FOCUS FORCE Kids With Cameras claiming the front pews. The Kids With Cameras grew anxious waiting the thrilling news of outcomes and the knowledge of who had taken out the CHOICE AWARDS. For just on an hour the names were called, and the winners came forward to collect their certificates to constant applause. Apart from the Mayor other guests included Cr. Gilbert Wilson and representatives of the BENDIGO BANK including the local manager Terry Mewha. Apology was received by Dan Tehan MP who was unable to attend due to other commitments. They were joined by family including grandparents and friends there to acknowledge all those that participated and achieved. The GRINNING WINNERS were;
CAPTAINS CHOICE was taken out by the Captian of MS EUROPA CATRIANO ALEXANDER who had earlier taken out the CATEGORY AWARD with the same shot. Making it a double header and had her thinking that she had the game licked!
CAPTAINS CHOICE 2. THE FLASH OF FRIENDSHIP was an image that was worked on and captured by STACEY FINCK.
MAYOR’S CHOICE was another overawed by her claim to fame and making JESSICA GOTTWALTZ feel pretty proud of herself. Presented by Cr. John Northcott.
THE PREMIERS CHOICE would you think that you were seeing double when JESSICA GOTTWALTZ had to do the walk a second time to be handed her certificate. In his absence the certificate was presented by Cr. Gilbert Wilson.
THE WANNON CHOICE 1 was chosen by Mr. Dan Tehan MP and was enough to put a smile on ELLA CLAYTON face. She was handed her recognition by BENDGO BANK manager Terry Mewha.
THE WANNON CHOICE TOO, (sorry 2) went to MOLLY FISHER. Dan chose ELLA as the OVERALL BEST FROM THE 2 categories.
Again another representative of the BENDIGO BANK with their regional manager Jason Whatley, doing the honours.
The HAPAG LLOYD CORPORATE AWARD went to STACEY FINCK and was chosen by The Communications Manager in Hamburg, Mr. Moritz Krause.
MS EUROPA PRODUCT MANAGER, Gabi Haupt also could not resist the chance of putting her CHOICE forward for ZOE PACKWOOD.
FOCUS FORCE Kids With Cameras CHOICES not announced on the night were;
TAKE A BOW taken by MOLLY FISHER whose inspired the title for the project and whose image was included on the commemorative folder.
