SIBLINGS SHARE THE SPOTLIGHT WITH THEIR ROCKLEY SUPER SHOT HOPES

Standard

Travelling from Thurgoona, just north of the Murray river and Albury, brother and sister Jack and Johanna didn’t realize where the road was taking them, and what was in store for them. They ventured to the MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL FLOWER & GARDEN SHOW and got caught up in the thrill of the search for SUPER SHOTS including finding VIEWPOINTS.IMG_0159

Here, it is FOCUS FORCE’S thrill to show you some of their results, and once again the big ask of viewers to show their appreciation of the submissions by making POSTS OF PRAISE. Just like those before them, the comments made will earn the young Kids With Cameras double REWARD POINTS during the PREVIEW TIME. See how to do it below.

Let’s do the right thing, and make it ladies before gentleman by showing one of Johanna’s first. She is 12 years old, and is in year 7 at a local secondary school in Albury. Here we can see where the friendly sibling rivalary begins.

Jack on the other hand comes in a shade younger being 1o, and is a grade 5 student, also in Albury. Both of them have made a mark for themselves that will claim them more REWARD POINTS. So, we ask you get behind them both with your POSTS OF PRAISE. Please note that each POST must be just one of the Kids With Cameras. It’s not that difficult.

PURPLE petals (Johanna.212JH3) with playing with light are a delight to the eye, and are worthy addition to the submission list of this young girl who hopes to claim the title for the overall best in the  category. Nominated for the Fleur award.

Green as green,(Jack 210JH2) these succulents are a feast for the eye that makes a dynamic pattern. Nomination pending. Rose’s are red (Jack.JH6) and this bunch is certainly that. Nominated for The Oithonia Award. A collection of pom poms (Johanna JOH2) pose centre stage for this possible SUPER SHOT. Nomination pending.

Once more a VIEWPOINT (JohannaJOH3)takes centre stage in helping locate a potential opportunity for a SUPER SHOT and helps gives the Kids With Cameras clues to finding elusive images to feature in the 2015 FOCUS FORCE ROCKLEY FLOWER FOTO EXHIBITION and the selected works appearing in the AWARDS.

SUCCENT FINGERS(JH1) A good image that shows the character of this plant. Nomination pending.BOUQUET BEAUTY (JH5) is nearly perfect, except could have come a little lower, and cut out that “blast” of light. Still good though. Nomination pending A LONELY DAISY (SB217JH7) sits brightly, but a feeling of forlorness seems to hang over it. The green of the background and the grey of the cement make the flower the feature though. Nominated for the RECASU award. All of these are Jack’s work.

A WHITE BUTTERFLY found by Johanna,(219JOH)alights on glowing collection of yellow petals, and like the project sheet said “takes in a birds-eye view” of the garden show. Again observe where the flowers detail remains in focus and drops away. Look at the fine detail captured in the wings. Nominated for the NiCe award.

RGS15SBM216JH8

A POWERUL FIG by Jack(216Jh8) branches out, it’s shiny leaves providing a canopy of shade and protection from the suns rays. While at it’s base the root system stretches out like giant tentacles. Note, how the sun is being hidden by the tree trunk so not creating a problem. Lucky one! Nomination pending.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO ADD A COMMENT ABOUT JACK & JOHANNA’S SUPER SHOT SUBMISSIONS or just POST A PRAISE to make their day? Whichever, you are welcome to do it here by entering in the comments section below, and send it direct to FOCUS FORCE Kids With Cameras. For each POST Of PRAISE made before 5.00 PM Thursday they will earn 50 reward points. Also if you would like to know more about the program, and perhaps register a Kids With Camera child, you are welcome to use it for that too.

HOW TO POST A PRAISE; Choose the SUPER SHOT submission you like most. POST A PRAISE nominating the Kids With Cameras name, and the image number in the post. Then add a few words of praise to encourage them. It’s that easy.

  1. I love your photos. I think they are very beautiful. My favourite one of johanna’s is the butterfly (219JOH) because it has a great focus. My favourite one of jack’s is green as green (210JH2) because it also has a great focus. I entered this competition this year and I believe it is a great oppurtunity for young kids like us to show off our skills with cameras and you two definetly have those amazing skills. Keep up the great photography as you both show a great talent for it.
