A REFLECTION ON AUTUMN.

Standard

Chelsea rose to the occasion, and accepted the CAMERA CHALLENGE coming up with these pics in answer to the task.

AUTLEAVES1-CK132

FOR HER EFFORTS & SUCCESS WITH THESE IMAGES CHELSEA IS GOING TO SIT BACK & RELAX AT THE MOVIES WITH A FRIEND DURING THE HOLIDAYS!

AUTLEAVES1-CK1301  A  fine example using the imagination is shown in this composed image with a little help from her friendly canines. So often setting up a shot like this needs a little enticement for the participants. Any idea as to how their involvement might have been increased. Send your answer, and if it’s right, you will earn 5o REWARD POINTS.                   ON THE LEFT we see an image of a golden canopy of Autumn leaves. The traditional idea takes the eye up the trunk of the tree, using it as a leading line. We have seen so many variations of this theme that have so many times made a kaleidoscope of colour.

CHECK INTO FOCUSFOR this weekend for news of a special workshop series for the FOCUS FORCE Kids With Cameras to celebrate, and be part of an international event in Oz. BE PART OF IT! Register for a workshop in preparation.

There are several decisions to be made in the choice of a SUPER SHOT. The fundamental rules of FOCUS FORCE are what the Kids With Cameras call CAMERA CLUES are; Correct HOLD of the camera, Correct DISTANCE, Correct Light and Correct FOCUS, then there’s the last CORRECT  COMPOSITION. Composition is the keynote to a SUPER SHOT. Any of the above can be broken other than COMPOSITION, and still gain the accolades. But, without the latter you are left at the starting post. In the second workshop you will learn all the rules, and how to make them work to your advantage.

Remember a SUPER SHOT is what you have seen through the camera lens or screen, and what it has captured inside. In other words once the image has been taken, you cannot  alter it on the computer screen or the camera. In other words you can not use Photoshop or any other process to change the original. This includes the cropping of the image.

IT WAS DISAPPOINTING that only one of those who has her photo images shown here was able to attend a short workshop at the FAIRFIELD BOATHOUSE on Sunday, June 9. Hopefully, you may see some of her results in the near future.

FIRST ENTRY “LEAVES” NOTHING TO THE IMAGINATION.

Standard

OUR FIRST ENTRY FOR THE AUTUMN LEAVES COMPETITION SEES CHELSEA TAKE THE HINT, AND SPARKS HER IMAGINATION TO SPOT A CONTENDER AND CREATE A CONCEPT TO HAVE VIEWERS “PAWSING” TO HAVE A CHUCKLE. THAT’S WHAT A SUPER SHOT IS ALL ABOUT!

AUTLEAVES1-CK1301

The season of Autumn is all about falling leaves, and colour. Chelsea Kincade catches the mood of the time in these shots selected as the first finalists in the first project for 2013. We hopefully look forward to seeing some more for this and future projects throughout the year.

AUTLEAVES1-CK132 ABOVE . Almost good enough to be a leading line the tree trunk takes your eye into a canopy of leaves on a clear blue autumn day. The sun glinting on the leaves adds a delightful “colourama” to the picture. This is an image that is often found by the Kids With Cameras, but so mnay of them different in their own right. Making them extra special.LEFT’ Have the dogs got their eye on a winner, or are they sniffing out something else? You be the judge.

2 creative submissions. Top; Leaves On The Tree.   Left; Leaves Amongst The Faces.

HERE’S SOME GOOD NEWS! THE AUTUMN LEAVES PROJECT IS EXTENDED UNTIL 7.00PM ON MONDAY OF THE QUEENS BIRTHDAY WEEKEND. THE REST IS UP TO YOU!

OUR FOCUSFOR NUMBERS KEEP CLIMBING!

Standard

4000 VIEWERS NOTCHED UP!

That’s a lot of eyes from all over the world observing the SUPER SHOTS!

Thursday, May 22 the the number of people who have VIEWED the website, looked at the Kids With Cameras SUPER SHOTS and read of their exploits over the last 3 years have grown. It is no mean feat to achieve these figures, especially without the aid of facebook, and the other forms of social media available through the internet.  Together, with the people who send message via POSTS OF PRAISE all add to the value of what FOCUS FORCE is aiming for.

THEN there was more, another record was broken in the month. This time on the 30th when the daily tally; the numbers going through the roof and soaring to 75 for the day. This puts the tally ahead of last year for the same period, even with a low score for January.

Then when you read the viewers come from being all corners of the globe there is another platform of recognition. In the majority the lookers come from Australia, the US and then the UK. But, also we see heaps form all the other places including from South Africa to India to Thailand and even the odd one from Turkey.

Of recent there has been an interest from admirers in New Zealand. There is every possibility that there will be another thousand in the next half to the end of December. FOCUS FORCE intends to beat this number, and hopefully add two thousand to the final half.

Then another number was achieved for May with it being the second highest with 365 views. The highest remains 500 plus from July 2011. Will we break the all time this year?

The numbers mean one thing; the popularity of the site is growing and with that so is the number of people viewing the Kids With Cameras SUPER SHOTS.
