SHAPES & COLOURS TAKE OLIVIA’S EYE!

Standard

AFTER ONLY A SHORT TIME BEING A MEMBER OF FOCUS FORCE Kids With Cameras, INCLUDING A JUNIOR OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPHER OLIVIA HAS SHARPENED HER EYE, AND DEVELOPED THE SKILL OF SEARCHING THROUGH THE CAMERA LENS FOR SUPER SHOTS.

RGSJOP14-OR6This image is JUST CLOWNING AROUND, and looks like he is more miserable than happy. But still, the image is poignant and has one wondering why a clowns face should look unhappy.  Perhaps, he’s just tired after a hard days work. Importantly for FOCUS FORCE it provides a thought for a get well card – ideal for a child. What do you think? FOCUS FORCE dedicates the image to the CLOWN DOCTORS who visit sick children in hospitals, bringing loads of laughs and joy to them.

RGSJOPSUB14-OR4

WHATEVER COULD IT BE? I’m sure every FOCUS FORCE viewer would love to know! Olivia as you can see by these images eligible for SUPER SHOT recognition focus on patterned designs. It is interesting to look at the composition style with the focal point being slightly off centre. A great composition aspect in most of these images.

RGSJOPSUB14-OR1 CINDERELLA’S PUMPKIN CARRIAGE AWAITS.  Or is it a family of pumpkins hiding in the garden? Not likely, we think! What catches the young eyes is always a treat, and another visual experience for us all to appreciate.

RGSJOP14-OR7  A nest provides a clever frame idea that makes a very impressive picture concept. It’s interesting to ponder that when all of these exhibitis are being planned and designed, do the artists involved ever imagine how viewers will respond to their final creation.

RGSJOPSUB14-OR2What looks like  a gathering of baubles, or perhaps; bubbles hanging  from the ceiling is a sheer delight for all to see. Hints of light shining through bring out the excitement of colourful array shades and tones. What can you say?

A bed of tulips provides a

RGSJOP14-OR8palette o colour in Melbourne’s Carlton Gardens during the International Flower & Garden Show. The many hues of the blooms take the eye, and create a beautiful display for all to be delighted by. Can you tell us what country the tulip is the national flower of?  In September, FOCUS FORCE will have the Kids With Cameras focus on the tulips of Tesselaars in Melbourne’s Dandenongs, Canberra’s famous FLORIADE, and possibly return to Hobart’s People’s Festival at the Royal Tasmanian Gardens.

A BUSY BEE looks for the honey ingredients amongst the brilliant petal folliage before heading off in another direction towards the hive. It is also obvious that Olivia was just as busy looking for her SUPER SHOT collection amongst all the blooms on show at the MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL FLOWER & GARDEN SHOW.

OLIVIA WOULD BE THRILLED TO READ YOUR POST OF PRAISE. C’MON TASSIE LETS HEAR THEM!

Loving the bubbles  Go Olivia. Mum.

ALICE DISCOVERS A WONDERLAND OF FLOWER FOTOS AT THE GARDEN SHOW….

Standard

…and gets a BIRDSEYE VIEW for SUPER SHOT consideration.

rcksub13ar4

(AL1.)”WATCH THE BIRDIE”.Its often the catch-cry of photographers from snap-happy amateurs to professionals taking child and family portraits. It’s the gimmick they use to get everybody’s attention and looking at the camera. But, in this case, its maybe the birds themselves wanting the attention of Alice’s eye, and the belief that she may be looking at a SUPER SHOT. Good luck, Alice.

rcksub13ar1

(AL2.) The cactus collection take the photographers eye and to the delight of the viewers, theirs too. This image is a beautiful composition with the flowers grouped on the right, and black area pushing the eye to the flowers. Notice the round ones and how they look like shower heads. rcksub13AR2

(AL3.)Once again the cacti is her subject and sees her getting down low, and shooting across the tops of the plants. Close cropping makes this extremely good composition. Finally. the the colours of the flowers in the left corner do just enough to add another aspect to the shot. Everything you need to find a SUPER SHOT.

rcksub13AR5 (AL4) A shot with difference creating a mini forest of small trees. In the FOCUS FORCE concept you will learn that an image does not have to be BIG to capture the imagination. But heres a test for your skills! How would you make these trees, or single Bonsai look TALL like its peers growing in the wild in the woods, and forests. Simply email your answer to focusdetail@gmail.com for 25 REWARD POINTS and double the number if you get it right. Alternatively send a photograph showing your answer to earn 100 REWARD POINTS.

FOCUS FORCE IS HEADING ACROSS THE TASMAN LOOKING FOR NEW ZEALAND’S Kids With Cameras TO JOIN IT’S RANKS.

Standard

Portuguese Kids With Cameras from overseas were the first SUPER SHOTS to be included in a FOCUS FORCE ROCKLEY FLOWER FOTO EXHIBITION, to be followed by those from Thailand working under the direction of English backpacker Louise. Now, FOCUS FORCE intends to extend beyond those with works from 3 Australian States including Qiueensland and ACT for the first time, and others from across the Tasman sea.

  •  rockley-garden-circa 1962A longtime ambition is about to be hopefully fore-filled with a visit to NEW ZEALAND by FOCUS FORCE Kids With Cameras Project coordinator Phillip Williams. In a search for aspiring Kids With Cameras and their SUPER SHOTS a series of FOTO FUN WORKSHOPS will take place. Majorly focusing on the flower images for the MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL FLOWER & GARDEN SHOW 2014, and the FOCUS FORCE KWC ROCKLEY FLOWER FOTO EXHIBITION, the task will not only be to find pics of flowers, but a number of other fun subjects.

  •  Image shows the Rockley Garden for which the FLOWER FOTO EXHIBITION & AWARDS are named after.
  • WE WILL ALSO BE ON THE SEARCH FOR SUPER SHOTS INCLUDING;

  • a fashion shoot,

  • a trip to the gardens and a

  • stroll in the streets. No project like this, would be complete without a

  • trip to the zoo.  Ideas for other projects are also in the melting pot  for the New Zealand Kids With Cameras. So now’s the time to register, and help make it happen.

The workshops are being scheduled for the last school holidays of the year in September, and as such will be there in time to catch the Spring blooms.

RCKWIN13BDHow could you let the kid miss out on this and the chance to have their photographs selected as SUPER SHOTS, and then the thrill of having them displayed as a part of the FOCUS FORCE KWC ROCKLEY FLOWER FOTO EXHIBITION at the Garden Show in March 2014?

2013 ROCKLEY FLOWER FOTO AWARD WINNER Benjamin Daniels proudly stands beside his striking image at this year’s show. A proud achievement for him.

Also plans are afoot to have the selected SUPER SHOTS to be displayed in New Zealand before their departure to Melbourne for the internationally recognised event.

FOCUS FORCE IS WORKING ON MORE EXCITING NEWS TO BE TOLD REGARDING THIS PROJECT IN THE COMING WEEKS. KEEP WATCHING & REGISTER TO BE PART OF THE EXCITEMENT.

CHELSEA DREAMS OF HAVING HER FLOWER IMAGES HEADING FOR DISTANT SHORES, PERHAPS.

Standard

FOCUS FORCE KWC FRIENDSHIP EXHIBITIONS HAVE TRAVELED THE WORLD PREVIOUSLY INCLUDING TO CHINA, PORTUGAL, ITALY & NEW YORK TO MENTION SOME! These collections have given the opportunity to children in other parts of the globe to see some of our country, and its event on the world stage. Along with that, imagine the thrill, and kudos for those young Kids With Cameras to know that is what their SUPER SHOTS have done!

TOP image. (CL1).Pointing to the sky, the stems of the plant seem to be pointing to the Heavens through the window of the Melbourne  Exhibition Buildings in the background. Notice how the shapes of the leaves complement the window design. Once again light plays an integral making this image what it is. Finding a SUPER SHOT is like a game of hide and seek, and Chelsea may have found one!
