STOP PRESS; DERWENT VALLEY MAYOR SAYS “YES”.

Great news for the FOCUS FORCE NEW NORFOLK Kids With Cameras with Mayor Martyn Evans confirming that he will be one of the official guests to attend the RTBG official launch of the garden shoot. I wonder whether if he will have any inspirng tips for the aspiring new shutterbugs. Now we wonder who else will put their hands up!

Shown below are two SORELL SUPER SHOT images from the previous FOCUS FORCE project “Tasmania – A Place In History” 2009.

That’s right! Time is flying, and soon it will be school holidays in Tasmania. And with that, the FOCUS FORCE Kids With Cameras from Derwent Valley will be going into action participating in the foto workshop program, and ultimately the foto excursion to the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens. This will be a day of thrills for them as they go searching in the hope of capturing their very own first SUPER SHOTS of flowers. Flower fotos that they hope will fill spaces in the FOCUAS FORCE Kids With Cameras ROCKLEY FLOWER FOTO EXHIBITION at 2013’s MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL FLOWER & GARDEN SHOW. There’s lot of excitement and some special guests being planned for the 13th of September. You’re welcome to follow the news over the next two weeks and be part of fun at the gardens.

SO FAR Kids With Cameras from New Norfolk and Fairview primary schools plus Glenora District High, and of course New Norfolk High school. Lets hope that all schools will be well represented in the final selection.  The names will soon be announced.

FOCUS FORCE Kids With Cameras MAKE NEWS IN THE DERWENT VALLEY. Once again, FF KWC fill the pages of local newspapers with their smiling faces behind a camera telling the FOCUS FORCE story, and the world on the project they are about to embark on. Well done Olivia and Haidee as being “participant” ambassadors for the project

If you would like to put your name down for future workshop program and exciting foto excursions send your contact details to focusforkids@gmail.com. More to be planned for later in the year, and the Summer holidays.

A new bunch of FOCUS FORCE Kids With Cameras is to about to be let loose in Hobart, along  the banks of the Derwent, and on the gentle rolling slopes of the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens as they look for their first SUPER SHOTS for the ROCKLEY FLOWER FOTO EXHIBITION & AWARDS at the 2013 MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL FLOWER & GARDEN SHOW. This has all come about by FF KWC forming links with a number of supporters led by the help of New Norfolk high school principal, Malcolm Elliot. He introduced the program to the RAFT ((Real Action Forward Thinking) forum, and to MISSION AUSTRALIA’s Jenny Reynolds. The project will run with the assistance of help from MISSION AUSTRALIA’S YOUTH CONNECTIONS team members.
