New Pomonal FOCUS FORCE Kid With A Camera, Annaleise was asked to complete a task by her Dad, a builder. She performed the requirement now made by most councils when trees are to be removed prior to the commencement of a new building. Here is her account of what she did. For it, she earns 50 REWARD POINTS, and if any of the images are deemed SUPER SHOTS – 100 SUPER POINTS for each one. Post a comment on her behalf for which she will receive 25 REWARD POINTS for every one.
On the 28th September my dad ask me to take some photos of these trees we have to them pull down to build my grandma and grandpa’s house. So I got my camera and went with my dad to see which trees to pull down. when we had decided witch trees we were going to pull down we put tape around the trees and I took a couple of photos. when we got back inside I put the photos on my dads computer and put them on a word document and printed them off, then dad took them to the council to show them which (trees) we are pulling down.
In July/August this year the focusfor, wordpress broke all records with over 500 hits. This was mainly the result of the FOCUS FORCE Kids With Cameras JUNIOR OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPHERS project for the Melbourne International Motor Show. A record that will not be an easy one to overtake.BUT WE SET YOU YOU THE CHALLENGE! The blog was first established 3 years ago, with little added to it in the early period. However, with this project a concentrated effort was made to publicise the aactivity, and the Kids With Cameras efforts and achievements. Parents, family, friends, and teachers alike responded to the requests for support and encouragement, writing loads of comments and praising the children in response to emails sent by them asking for votes for their favourites in the first on-line POP PIKz POLL. FOCUS FORCE had hoped that the project in September “BLOOMIN WILD” would have seen the numbers grow! That unfortunmately did not happen, so now we push towards an October target of 600! Shouldn’t be too hard, considering the number involved in the last project. Also you will also see more FOCUS FORCE Kids With Cameras in action in schools adn JUNIOR OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPHER projects over the coming months as they take on more challenges behind the lens. Keep posting your interest!
Throughout the FOCUS FORCE Kids With Cameras program there is a sense of rivalry, if not in beating yourself, then coming up with a SUPER SHOT that beats all others. In the class activities, the workshops, the excursions, even in writing there ias always a genuine friendly competitiveness between paticipants. However, this has been taken to a new level this weekend when brother and sister, Logan and Annaleise took on the role of JUNIOR OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPHERS, and donned their official badges at the WILDFLOWER FESTIVALS. While considered to be an unofficial project, the two youngsters showed they were take the job seriously when they rollef up to th Pomonal Hall on Friday afternoon armed with their cameras, and ready to start clicking. Other FOCUS FORCE kids With Cameras will eb eager to see their results along with family and FF followers.
More achievements by FOCUS FORCE Kids With Cameras are catching the eyes of viewers from all parts of Victoria, and even some international travellers at the Halls Gap and Pomonal WILDFLOWER FESTIVALS in the Grampians this weekend. While not entirely all being wild, the Halls Gap & Pominal Primary School students did their best to capture the best they could in the wild. Although not all indigenous they are “wild”, and cover a broad collecion of flowers growing in the area. The kids are pleased and proud of their results with many gaining SUPER SHOT status, and of course some headed for the 2012 MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL FLOWER & GARDEN SHOW. FOCUS FORCE and the Kids With Cameras especially thank both the committess of the festivals for their generosity in hosting the 2 collections, and we all look forward to a bigger dispaly in 2012.
